Our client was looking to create a beautifully crafted space that would live up to the rest of the house at The Quarry.
We wanted to make use of the site’s off-centered fantastic views by extending out the main living space onto the upper terrace. We created a really special extension that had a cantilevered floating corner which allows for a completely open, panoramic view accross the hopton hills.
As much as we love glass, we were very cautious of the south-facing elevation and wanted to mitigate any overheating. By installing our bespoke timber louvres at high-level, this helped reduce any solar-gain whilst adding some further visual interest on the front elevation.
The interior finishes were modeled working with CR Interiors to create a quirky and individual interior that would complement the extension and the site really well.
The end result is a great usable space which packs a lot of punch for a space of its size.
