We were approached by our clients who had purchased a family home on Mirfield Moor. The property benefitted from beautiful scenic views over the greenery around Mirfield & Huddersfield. The house would have really benefitted from a full refurbishment project alongside an extension so we created an amazing brief with the client to transform the tired house into a beautiful and warm family home. The house is in the greenbelt, as a result, can cause limitation in terms of extension and refurbishment projects so much so, that a number of other architects and designers had advised the project would not be possible. We were able to create a scheme that the client and the local authority were happy with, we had a shared aim of transforming the house into something special.
The project was shown on George Clarke’s Old House New Home in November 2019.
